Helio Bray Studio Serigraphs
How our serigraphs are made
Every serigraph is produced entirely by hand at Helio Bray Studio, through a careful, multi-stage process that makes each piece genuinely one of a kind. We begin with a fully hand-painted background on paper, built slowly with spray paint and acrylics. Layers are added, adjusted, and reworked until the surface has depth, movement, and a living texture, no two painted bases ever turn out the same.
Once the background is complete, the screen-printing is applied by the artist by hand. We do not use an automated press: the ink is pulled manually, allowing subtle variations in pressure, ink load, and alignment. These micro-differences are part of the work’s character and ensure that each serigraph carries its own unique presence, rather than looking mechanically identical.
Because the process is handmade from start to finish, you can see and feel the result: visible ink, distinct layers, and a richness that photographs rarely capture. The final piece sits between painting and print, crafted with the precision of serigraphy and the spontaneity of a studio-made artwork.
